Not at all. Sound meditation is entirely passive and beginner-friendly. There are no postures to master or techniques to memorize—you simply lie down, relax, and let the acoustic frequencies guide your body into a deep state of rest.
Wear comfortable, loose-fitting clothing that allows you to breathe and lie down easily. High-waisted or tight clothing can restrict deep abdominal breathing. Mats, bolsters, and blankets are provided at the center, but you are welcome to bring a personal water bottle or an eye pillow if you prefer extra comfort.
Try to avoid heavy meals and caffeine for at least 1–2 hours prior to the session. Lying flat on a full stomach can cause physical discomfort and distract from your meditation experience. A light snack or tea beforehand is completely fine. Arriving hydrated is also beneficial, as water in the body acts as an excellent conductor for sound vibrations.
While sound healing is safe, gentle, and non-invasive, deep acoustic resonance can affect certain medical conditions. If you have a cardiac pacemaker, severe sound-induced epilepsy, metal implants, or are in your first trimester of pregnancy, please inform us in advance so we can ensure appropriate accommodation.
This is a natural and healthy response. Acoustic resonance frequently releases stored somatic and emotional tension. The room is a safe, non-judgmental container designed for emotional release; you are fully supported to let tears flow or simply lie quietly as your body processes the experience.
Falling asleep is completely normal and very common! Your body naturally drifts into a restorative state as your brainwaves slow down. Even while asleep, your auditory system continues to receive the vibrational frequencies and benefits of the sound waves.
Most clients feel deeply calm, grounded, or slightly lightheaded immediately after. Over the next 24 hours, drink plenty of water to help your body process released tension, and take time to transition gently back into your daily routine.
While a single session provides immediate stress relief and emotional space, attending weekly or bi-weekly helps retrain your nervous system to stay grounded, preventing long-term tension buildup and maintaining emotional balance.
Silent meditation relies on self-directed focus, which can feel challenging when the mind is racing. Sound healing uses physical acoustic vibrations (from instruments like gongs and crystal bowls) to actively draw your brainwaves into slower alpha and theta states, making deep relaxation effortless.
